6. Biodiversity: The 400 square miles of reservation stretch from the Chyulu Hills to the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Altitudes range from 3,000 to 7,000 ft, with a vegetation that goes from the cloud forest to the savanna plains, including bush woodland, riverine forest, springs. These different habitats reflect in hosting a diverse wildlife (63 big mammals species), birdlife (400 species), and vegetation (more than 1,000 different trees species).

8. Give Back: For every day you spend at Campi ya Kanzi, you contribute a $100 conservation fee to the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust; if you choose to stay at Kanzi House the contribution is double, $200 per day. This means you will support community efforts to preserve the very same wilderness, wildlife and culture the Maasai will be sharing with you. Your money employ nearly 200 members of the community, as teachers, nurses and game scouts.

9. Conservation: MWCT employs nearly 200 local people, running programs for conservation, health and education. Our Simba Project, compensating the Maasai landlords for livestock losses caused by predators, has tripled our lion population in less than three years (now we have more than 60 lions living in the reservation). With a yearly budget of nearly $1,000,000, and corporate sponsors like Puma, Cartier, Garmin, our Trust has become the key conservation organization of the entire ecosystem. 10. Quality time in a quality place, i.e. saving money: A safari is an expensive holiday, the highest portion of costs being represented by flying from one lodge to the other. The diverse topography, the rich biodiversity, the many different safari options including Tsavo and Amboseli day excursions, and/or the fly camping, allow you to stay at least a week and do something amazing and different every day. This reflects in saving on your transfer costs. We operate commercially our own Cessna 206, enabling us to fly you at convenient rates and times, to and from your other destinations.
